I used to have a yoga teacher that would often encourage us throughout class to "try on easy". It was a reminder to be gentle, to let our bodies move as they will, to relax into rather than force upon.
And for Mondays, which can be so stressful and hectic as we try to get back into the working rhythm, I thought it would be nice to throw this out there. Try on easy today. See where you can take a load off, reschedule an engagement, give yourself a break. My favorite part about this phrase is even the ease in suggestion. It's not a command, not even really an insisting, just a casual "hey, what about this?", an informal invitation. And if you can't today, there's always tomorrow or next week. Relax into it, and don't forget to breathe.
